Principles of protection of personal and other processed data

This page provides an overview of the main principles of the protection of personal data and other processed data.

PROJECT MISSION:

The Dance Database is an open platform of Czech dance, mapping the events on the Czech art scene, thus allowing to find a variety of data on theatre scenes, artistic companies, festivals and production platforms or information from the field of dance education at all levels - dance studios, primary art schools, conservatories and universities.

It also offers the possibility of professional presentations, and contains information about personalities from the world of dance. The purpose of the Dance Database is to create a professional artistic network to facilitate collaboration in the field. Individuals and institutions join this professional network by voluntarily registering (filling in a registration form) on the portal www.databazetance.cz.

1. Who processes your data?

We are Dance Context, z.ú., ID No.: 270 43 720, with registered office at Na Pískách 495/27, Dejvice, 160 00 Prague 6, registered on 18 December 2013 in the Register of Public Benefit Corporations, maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section O, Insert 1355. We operate the Internet portals www.dancecontext.com, www.tanecniaktuality.cz and www.databazetance.cz. and as a controller we will process your personal data according to the terms and conditions below.

2.     What personal data do we process?

We only process personal data that you provide to us on the basis of voluntary registration of a person or entity (e.g. organisation, dance studio, festival, etc.) on the www.databazetance.cz portal. The data you fill in the registration form is fully visible on the website to all other users of the portal. Please do not add personal information to your profile that you do not want to be published. For registering individuals, this includes the following information: first and last name, email, phone, date of birth, photo. For subjects, you can include the personal data of the contact person - first and last name, email, phone. In both cases, only the e-mail is mandatory, because of the possibility of updating the profile (the e-mail address will receive a password to enter the pre-filled registration form, where the existing profile can be modified). If you register an event (workshop, course, etc.) in the database and you are interested in paid promotion, the form will ask you to fill in the billing information (name of the payer, address and ID number). We process this data for billing purposes only and it is not visible when previewing the event on the website.

3.     Why do we process your personal data?

The purpose of the Dance Database is to create a professional artistic community and to facilitate mutual collaboration in the field through the online presentation of individuals and entities. The presentation takes the form of a web profile with the contact details needed to establish cooperation.

Upon your request, we will also send a link to the email address provided during registration with access to a pre-populated registration form that you can use to update your profile.

At the same time, we process the personal data you provide (email) so that we can inform you via newsletter about news on the www.databazetance.cz portal. These communications are sent approximately once every three months; you can unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the "unsubscribe" option in the email you receive.

4. Who all will have access to your data?

The data you fill in the registration form is fully visible on the website to all other users of the portal. Therefore, do not add personal information to your profile that you do not want to be made public. We use the Mailchimp platform to send out newsletters on the Dance Database portal, which complies with the privacy policy.

5.     How long do we process your data?

We will process your data on the basis of your consent for a further 10 years, unless this consent to process your personal data is withdrawn by you.

6.     On what basis can we process your personal data?

We can only process your personal data on the basis of your completed registration form.

7.     How is my personal data secured?

Any personal data you provide to us is fully visible on the website to all other users of the portal. Therefore, do not add personal information to your profile that you do not want to disclose.

8.     How and when can you withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data?

If you would like to delete your profile in the Dance Database, just write to info@databazetance.cz.

You can revoke your consent to receive information about news on the Databáze tance portal at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter.

9.     Am I obliged to provide my personal data? What if I do not provide personal data?

The Dance Database portal operates on the principle of voluntary registration of individuals and institutions. Since the purpose of the project is to create a space for self-presentation of artists and institutions and to promote the establishment of cooperation between them, the provision of some personal data is necessary for the fulfilment of this mission.

10.  What rights do you have in relation to data protection?

In particular, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

- The right to withdraw your consent at any time;

- the right to rectify or complete your personal data;
